Group trips to Sardinia in 2019 and 2020
Our friends at Sapori e Saperi have been facilitating amazing small group trips to Sardinia for years, offering insights into artisanal food-making processes and the chance to explore the variety of beautiful flavours and locations along the way.
This year our food trip with them, Giants of Sardinia, is already fully booked!
Next year's trip (October 3–10, 2020) is confirmed and open for booking. If you can't wait until then, Sapori e Saperi offers a second Sardinia tour, Celebrating Sardinia (May 3–12, 2019) based in the town of Sant’Antioco, where the feast of Saint Antioco will be the main scope within which you experience all the food and festivities Sardinia has to offer.
We are so excited to share the Giants of Sardinia tour, as the itinerary is filled to the brim with an exciting exploration of Sardinia's Bronze Age history and culture, authentic Sardinian cooking and food.
Our group will have the chance to see the production of some Sardinian staples, but more importantly, will also be able to make and then eat them! With our own producers, we will be picking and curing olives, making traditional pasta culurgionis, casizolu cheese, and also make fresh sausages. There will naturally be plenty of time to meet wine producers and try their local wines, taste mullet roe bottarga, and eating regional recipes at local restaurants and agriturismo.
