A new addition to our range of Bottarga!
The Grey Mullet Bottarga is a delicacy obtained from the roe of the grey mullet, washed, salted and dried with great skills! The grated bottarga is an easy-to-use version of the traditional whole dried roe of mullet. The result is a fine, sandy texture and a rich, savoury flavour that is perfect for adding depth and complexity to a variety of dishes. Our producer still prepare it following the artisan recipe and it is available in 100g packet.
The grated bottarga can be used on pasta dishes, like aglio e olio or bread croutons with butter. It can also be mixed with olive oil and lemon juice to make a delicious dip for bread or vegetables or added to a seafood fregola soup. It is a fine addition to a boiled or scrambled eggs. It works very well sprinkled on top of raw artichokes drizzled with olive oil and marinated for a few minutes.
