Renosu Rosso by Tenute Dettori is a 'biodynamic' and low-sulphur wine, made from Cannonau and other grapes in the region.
This particularly light and easy drinking red has a beautiful red fruit bouquet and delicious palate with medium tannins which tingle but don't grip too much. The character of the Cannonau grape is there but the young age of the wine makes for very easy drinking - even possible to be served chilled on a warm day.
As with other Dettori wines, this is a wine made with old style artisanal methods, adhering to the 'Triple A' movement: Agricoltori, Artigian, Artisti or Farmers, Artisans, Artists.

Dettori Wines echo these sentiments and continue to stay true to this ethos. They are based in the north of Sardinia, in the historical region of Romangia, within Logudoro, which in the Sardo language means 'luogo dorato' or golden place since it is considered to be Sardinia’s most fertile area. Romangia is a delimited geographical area to which the commune of Sennori e Sorso belongs, along a coastal portion of the Sassari province between Porto Torres and Castelsardo facing the Gulf of Asinara.
Here Dettori have been making natural wine for generations using the local grapes Vermentino, Cannonau and Moscato as well as lesser known rare grapes like Monica and Pascale. Their top wines come from Badde Nigolosu which is their Cru vineyard, a natural amphitheatre on the highest hills around Sennori’s Town. Here the grapes achieve exceptional ripeness and complexity and go to produce deep and desirable red and white wines.
Proprietor Alessandro Dettori is known for producing natural wines from single varieties – he does not practice blending and will only produce varieties that are native or considered historically important to the island of Sardinia. Moreover, he does not agree with the DOC system and produces all wines under the Romangia IGT designation, which denotes a smaller and much more restricted denomination.
